Job Description
ualifications:
- Knowledge of how to setup and operate manual drill presses, grinders, band saws, lathes, and milling machines.
- Knowledge of how to setup, program, and operate CNC or mechanically controlled mills and lathes.
- Knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and correct cutting tool selection based on material being machined.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and technical orders.
- Setup and operate manual drill presses, grinders, band saws, lathes, and milling machines.
- Setup, program, and operate CNC or mechanically controlled mills and lathes.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications including the ability to reverse engineer an existing part.
- Knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and correct cutting tool selection based on material being machined.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and technical orders.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery they use.
- Inspect and measure machined parts for dimensional accuracy using micrometers, calipers, depth gages, and other forms of measurement.
- Regularly perform assembly of machined components.
