Job Description
Qualifications:
- 4-year Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE, BSEET) or equivalent.
- Preferred: 5 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience, especially in field startups, PLC/HMI programming, and variable frequency drives setup.
- Experience with Rockwell PLC/HMI, Siemens PLC/HMI, Magnetek VFDs, and Siemens VFDs programming.
- Knowledgeable in NEC electrical code.
- Leadership skills, customer-focused, and willing to travel domestically and internationally (20%-40% field time).
- Able to calculate electrical components for large industrial equipment based on specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical/software engineer at site/office, providing technical supervision.
- Collaborate with project manager, establish work requirements, and ensure customer acceptance.
- Support Installation Site Supervisor, troubleshoot/update computer programs.
- Interpret and mark up drawings, maintaining configuration control.
- Lead engineering/software efforts for equipment testing and Site Acceptance Testing.
- Maintain excellent customer relations, work to expedite testing/startup.
- Demonstrate a drive to self-teach/learn new material and understand design concepts.
