Job Description
Qualifications:
- BSEE preferred, or Associate degree with 4-10 years related experience, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of electrical circuits and concepts
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and LabVIEW or equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Hands-on experience with electrical motors preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to present technical data effectively
- Ability to write clearly and concisely, listen, get clarification, and actively participate in meetings
- Ability to define problems, collect and research data, and design workflows and procedures
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to new and inventive electrical carbon products, bearing protection systems, and shaft grounding systems with associated measurement and monitoring capabilities
- Design and develop test stands for electric motors, grounding systems, and sliding electrical contacts
- Program, troubleshoot, and repair circuit boards, and work on PLC programming and LabVIEW as needed
- Coordinate test lab activities, create reports for internal and external customers, and develop standardized test procedures
- Participate in design review meetings, propose new designs, monitor product specifications and drawings, and improve legacy designs for manufacturability
