Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Masters preferred
- Expert user of SolidWorks and Enterprise PDM (ePDM)
- Experience with Semiconductor industry
- FEA experience, Thermal analysis, using Ansys or Flowtherm
- Sensors design experience
- Experience with high temperature and high vacuum environment
- Experience with ceramics, plastics and materials that can withstand high temperatures
- Must be able to select materials that will go in a high temperature environment and exposed to toxic and corrosive chemicals
- Experience with electronic packaging including electronic shielding and dense packaging
- Experience with Optomechanical designs including mounting and alignment
- Experience designing and testing products that for outdoor and hazardous areas (IP 67, IIA, IIB, IIC)
Responsibilities:
- Design temperature and gas analyzers
- Work with electrical engineers regarding keep out areas, EMC shielding, packaging dense electronics
- Design optomechanical mounting and alignment
- Work with outside vendors on prototypes
- Perform cost reduction designs and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities
