Jr. Mechanical Design Engineer (M)
Job Description
Responsibilities:

Lead the product design and engineering development of horizontal tracking systems.

Oversee concept development, design, and engineering for both new and existing products, with an emphasis on manufacturability, scalability, and cost optimization.

Manage and perform engineering tasks using SolidWorks & ANSYS software to solve mechanical and structural design problems. This includes finite element analysis, design optimization, and fatigue analysis.

Mentor other engineers in CAD, prototyping, high-volume design, and supplier communication.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for issues found during pilot testing and manage internal R&D budgets.

Collaborate with global suppliers and tooling partners to validate designs and resolve technical challenges.

Solve time-sensitive manufacturing and production issues to ensure smooth product launches.
Requirements:

Education: B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, with a focus on mass production manufacturing and part validation (Stampings/Rollings/Castings).
- Extensive knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and model/drawing standards.
- Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) for sheet metal stampings, roll-formed parts, and cast parts.

Proven aptitude for mechanical failure analysis.

Toolsets: Proficiency with SolidWorks, ePDM, and FEA software (ANSYS preferred).
