Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Mechanical, electrical, or life science discipline
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Biotech instrumentation designs
- Experience with Microfluidics and microcontrollers a must
- Experience troubleshooting electronic systems
- Any experience with PCR equipment a big plus
- Understanding of the interaction between mechanical, electrical and embedded software systems
- Must have seen at least one product from concept to production stage
- Work with a team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop next generation PCR and sequencing product
- Develop test plans and data to support product design
- Participate in design reviews
- Conducting research and development activities to improve existing products, processes, and materials
- Facilitate root cause analysis to resolve technical issues
- This includes working with the complaints, safety, and other teams to support life cycle management
- Responsible for design concept generation, system architecture development, requirements definition and analysis, requirements and configuration management, risk management, reliability, system integration and characterization, verification and validation
