Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Mechanical design using Creo (preferred); SolidWorks and NX acceptable
- Familiarity with CBC Seismic code requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience with equipment design. Must have experience with anchoring and stabilizing equipment per CBC Seismic code.
- Ability to specify and select parts such as brackets, beams, anchors, etc.
- Experience collaborating with PE and Civil engineers is an advantage
- Strong communication and organizational skills are required
- Design and documentation in support of equipment upgrade projects
- Develop specifications and BOMs for the stability of new equipment, especially off the shelf components from Unistrut and similar manufacturers
- Hand off design to structural team for review and make any necessary corrections for approval
- Consult with designers and structural teams to resolve any equipment-related issues
