Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- CAD Design: SolidWorks
- Product development experience
- Mechatronics or robotics experience
- Experience interfacing with industrial controls or firmware is plus
- Familiarity with hands-on manual and CNC machining
- Design firm experience is preferred
- Familiarity with material properties (plastics, metals, elastomers)
- Strong communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills (presentations, customer meetings, design reviews)
- Support multidisciplinary engineering teams in the development of complex mechanical assemblies, layouts, models, drawings and BOM's for a variety of product development projects
- Perform detailed engineering and design of a variety of products and systems
- Support iterative design changes, manage large mechanical assemblies, check for interferences, fit and finish
- Perform tolerance checks, tolerance stack up analysis
- Support all documentation activities, change control, release activities
