Job Description
Qualifications:
- BSME/MSME 10+ years’ experience
- Industry experience – Semiconductor, Solar, Disk Drive, Mfg., Automation equipment
- CAD – SolidWorks, FEA, PLC’s
- Experience taking a product from conceptual stage to prototype, release to manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience in high-speed precision robotics design for capital equipment used in automated manufacturing environments
- Design experience with mechanisms, vision systems, pneumatic systems, opto-mechanical, fluid handling systems, motion control, clean/high-purity environment
- Customer facing experience – concept development, proposal, design review
- Some local travel

Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in conceptual development of possible solutions to customers’ requests
- Work with customers on feasibility trade-offs, develop design specifications
- Provide support in estimating BOM and NRE costs
- Lead design effort, work with multi-disciplinary team of Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineers
- Lead/participate in design reviews
- Ensure project is on schedule & delivered to customers’ satisfaction
- Support sustaining efforts as needed
