Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- CAD Design: SolidWorks
- Product development experience
- Experience with design for manufacturing of injection molded parts; elastomeric materials is a plus
- Advanced surface modelling in Solidworks: advanced modelling and modifications
- Medical Device industry experience is a plus
- Familiarity with in-house machining preferred (fabrication processes - machining, molding, stamping, extrusion
- Familiarity with material properties (plastics, metals, elastomers)
- Strong communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills (presentations, customer meetings, design reviews)
- Support multidisciplinary engineering teams in the development of complex mechanical assemblies, layouts, models, drawings and BOM's for a variety of product development projects
- Perform detailed engineering and design of a variety of products and systems
- Support iterative design changes, manage large mechanical assemblies, check for interferences, fit and finish
- Perform tolerance checks, tolerance stack up analysis
- Support all documentation activities, change control, release activities
