Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on experience
- Industry experience – Industrial manufacturing equipment, process equipment, solar, electric vehicles, aerospace preferred
- AutoCAD experience
- Navisworks and Autocad Plant 3D experience strongly preferred
- Experience with designing complex plant layouts, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), piping routes, and process flow diagrams (PFDs)
- Working knowledge of plant systems, terminology including piping, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, tanks, valves.
- Experience with designing equipment for high temperature environments (>400 C preferred)
- Design, create, maintain, and update 2D drawings in AutoCAD, including plant layouts, PFDs, and P&IDs
- Create and evaluate configurations / layouts of plant equipment
- Understand and manage design constraints, alongside material, thermal, and electrical engineering teams
- Help create best practices and internal processes
