Job Description

Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Certificate in Machine Building, Machinist, or Maintenance Technician and/or completed apprenticeship is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of hands on machine assembly experience.
  • Electro-mechanical Technician
  • Experience as a toolmaker or machinist is preferred.
  • Must have an understanding of electrical circuits both AC and DC voltage with experience in print reading, interpretation, and panel wiring.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and ability to assemble like components per print requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of machine tools, such as lathes, surface grinders, and milling equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Must be capable of verifying part conformance using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, multi-meters, indicators, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Building and troubleshooting mechanical assemblies, mechanical components, hardware and equipment with quality and timely focus to build special-purpose custom machinery, robotic work cells, injection mold screws and Rotary Platens.

Responsibilities: 
  • Plan and coordinate work required to assemble systems and sub-assemblies according to assembly blueprints and engineering intent.
  • Perform machine build integration support and installation tasks.
  • Perform setup and alignment of the system and sub assemblies.
  • Repair and/or replace defective components of the system as required
  • Work with the project team to provide the customer with a complete and functional system.
  • Participate in tear down and shipping of equipment
  • Reassemble equipment at delivery site to gain customer buy-off.
  • Provide customer training when required.
  • Travel to customers sites as required for installation and reintegration of systems.
  • Set and maintain departmental goals in keeping with company objectives.
  • Provide necessary documentation and support for machinery Operating Manuals.
  • Make recommendations for quality and cost improvements.
  • Ability to perform and test machine wiring and plumbing of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
  • Assist in vendor follow-up as it related to ordering, scheduling, and receiving of components.
  • Building and troubleshooting mechanical assemblies, mechanical components, hardware and equipment with quality and timely focus to build special-purpose custom machinery, robotic work cells, injection mold screws and Rotary Platens.
