Job Description
Qualifications:
- Technical Degree or Certification in Engineering or Supply Chain an advantage
- 3+ years of buyer/planner experience supporting technical companies such as design firms, engineering equipment OEMs, machine shops, etc.
- Experience working with suppliers and vendors for finished goods, sheet metal parts, power components, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, strong analytical skills
- High sense of urgency in placing orders quickly and accurately
- Strong follow up skills to ensure completion of procurement tasks
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions.
- Responsible for supplier selection, purchase order placement, cost control and inventory management for engineering and fabrication groups
- Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
- Continuously updated Master Data such as supplier performance, shipping information, supplier spend details
