Job Description

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude with specific ability to operate tube bending equipment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills & lathes
  • Advanced blueprint reading capabilities with understanding of SPC and geometric tolerancing
  • Demonstrated leadership skills for effective teamwork and collaboration
  • Proven fabrication experience
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Sound judgment with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate tube bending equipment to form tubing and wire components according to quality and efficiency standards
  • Adhere to production schedules while maintaining quality output
  • Configure equipment according to blueprint specifications and tolerances
  • Verify dimensions of finished workpieces using precision measuring tools (calipers, height gauges, templates, rulers)
  • Interpret blueprints to identify angles, radii, and critical dimensions of formed parts
  • Safely operate machinery to produce quality components, including repetitive manual lifting and handling of parts
  • Read and interpret work orders to determine specifications (materials, dimensions, tolerances, tooling requirements, labeling)
  • Maintain accurate documentation in both written and electronic formats
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment (cleaning, lubrication, etc.)
  • Support company standards in safety, efficiency, quality, and on-time production
  • Participate in improvement projects to enhance departmental metrics, maximize value, reduce costs, and continuously improve product and process quality
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
