Qualifications

  • AA/High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in medical device assembly (catheter experience is highly preferred).
  • Proven ability to work with small components under high-magnification microscopes and high dexterity for fine-motor tasks.
  • Familiarity with Adhesives, Reflow, Tipping, Bonding, Fusing, Braiding, Coiling, Marker Bands, Mandrel, UV Curing, Heat Shrink, Skiving, Crimping, Soldering.
  • Experience using Microscope, Calipers, Micrometers, Pull Tester, Leak Tester, Heat Gun, Vision System, Fixtures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Familiarity with Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Cleanroom protocols.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods within a cleanroom environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and corrected 20/20 vision.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Precision Assembly: Perform intricate assembly tasks including lumen bonding, tipping, marker band placement, and braiding under a microscope.
  • Equipment Operation: Set up and operate various production machines such as heat guns, reflow ovens, leak testers, and UV curing lamps.
  • Technical Documentation: Accurately complete Device History Records (DHR) and production logs, ensuring full traceability and compliance with ISO 13485 standards.
  • Quality Inspection: Conduct in-process visual inspections and dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, and vision systems to identify defects.
  • Cleanroom Maintenance: Adhere to strict gowning procedures and maintain a sterilized workspace to prevent contamination.
