Qualifications 

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering 
• 5+ years experience with designing, manufacturing and certifying aircraft components and systems
• Experience working in product or system-level certification environment, interfacing with FAA or EASA
• Strong familiarization with FAA Part 21, 23 & 25 and EASA CS Part 21 & 25 certification requirements related to airborne IFE equipment
• Electrical/EMI test procedures

Responsibilities 

• Work with product development team, systems engineering, aircraft system integrators and customers to identify and document appropriate test levels required for environmental, electrical and flammability testing of new LRU designs and product improvements
• Develop, review, approve and release Certification documents to specify requirements that establish compliance with the applicable airworthiness requirements including, but not limited to:

1. Flammability assessments including Test Plans, Analysis and Test Reports
2. Qualification Test Plans, Procedures and Test Reports
3. Comparative analysis (Statements of Similarity) and Fungus Resistance
4. Safety Assessments such as for product Functional Hazard Assessments and
5. system-level System Safety Assessments
6. Work with aircraft system integrators and customers to achieve appropriate regulatory approval of complete Certification data package for each newly developed or improved product
