Job Description
Qualifications:
- BSEE, BSME, Computer Science
- Experience working as a Controls Engineer in an automated manufacturing environment. Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, MES control systems
- In-depth experience using Inductive Automation’s Ignition & Perspective SCADA software
- Experience creating scripts in Python for queries in Ignition, working in Perspective to develop web based APIs, experience with SQL databases
- Experience with other HMI/SCADA hardware/software platforms such GE iFIX, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View, Siemens and DCS hardware/software platforms such as Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell PlantPAx, or similar.
- Familiar with PostgreSQL open-source database
- Programming experience with Python, Java, .NET, C#, JavaScript
- ISA95 standards, IQ, OQ, PQ, Agile/Scrum software development methodology
- Support SCADA development team in developing, implementing, maintaining Ignition/Perspective web-based platform
- Create Python scripts to generate custom reports in PostgreSQL database
- Develop software on top of Ignition platform using Agile/Scrum methodologies for quick iterative development
- Test, debug, & implement custom software and scripts
- Configure SCADA solutions and support integrations to 3rd party systems
- Create and maintain development documentation
