Job Description

Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering 
  • 4+ years Cost, Planning, or Estimating Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of electrical components and electronics
  • Understanding of global sourcing, including how to identify critical and secondary vendors, optimize costs, and negotiate contracts
  • Strong ERP experience (Epicor preferred)
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze BOMs and interface with engineering, purchasing, and quality departments to optimize costs, and find both primary & secondary sources for new and existing parts
  • Use technical knowledge to understand which electrical components are most suitable, most cost effective, and most readily available for when they are needed
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, design, and accounting to create cost models, estimates, and delivery targets
  • Utilize ERP system to analyze materials, tooling, labor costs, and project forecasting
