Job Description
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Product Design from concept to release
- Prefab/Modular home design for home manufacturing or additional dwelling units (ADUs) Preferred.
- Proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, as well as Sketchup
- Able to generate product design specifications and create assembly instructions.
- Experienced with reading architectural drawings as well as building construction documents.
- Understanding of Construction practices.
- Ability to fabricate with CNC (programming and operate) a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and develop conceptual drawings into Prototype and release into production.
- Establish and define specifications including assembly instructions and drawings for release to production.
- Conduct post design validation, troubleshoot, test, and ensure that designs are sound.
- Secure that designs meet or adhere to building codes and regulations.
- Design improvements to existing designs
- Determine that designs are user friendly, cost-effective, and are ECO friendly.
- Participate in Stakeholder meetings and communicate progress.
