Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering required, Masters Degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering License preferred
- 5+ years of experience as an Applications Engineer in the electrical equipment manufacturing industry
- 10+ years of technical experience with power equipment.
- Expert-level knowledge of power electrical equipment and UL Standards & NEC requirements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, persuasion, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to travel (Up to 40%)
- Make exceptional external and internal customer service the primary focus of all aspects related to this role.
- Gather valuable customer insights through conversations, observations, feedback analysis, and close collaboration with the sales team.
- Ensure seamless alignment between the engineering team and customer specifications, facilitating the development of solutions that meet mechanical, electrical, safety, functional, cost target, and manufacturability requirements across all product lines.
- Maintain alignment between products and customer specifications by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of world-class design principles, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and overarching market trends.
- Prioritize customer engagements by reviewing inquiries and working closely with the Sales team to identify high-potential fits for their portfolio and specific requirements.
- Clearly articulate and uphold the company’s core competencies and values, actively identifying opportunities to build business that leverage these strengths.
- Collaborate effectively with commercial operations team, sales managers, and project managers to strategically plan, prepare, and execute deals in complex sales cycles.
- Skillfully match customer requirements with proposed standard or customized solutions.
