Electrical Board Designer (PWB Designer)
Job Description
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Altium Designer
- Experience with high-density multilayer printed wiring boards
- Strong understanding of PWB fabrication and assembly processes
- Proficiency in designing for high voltage and current requirements in space environments
- Experience with via designs including buried and blind vias
- Knowledge of IPC class 2 and 3 PWB standards
- Familiarity with component library management and data systems
Responsibilities
- Develop schematic drawings and PWB layouts based on engineering inputs and design requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers on parts placements and routing to ensure compliance with IPC and company standards.
- Create and verify layer stack-ups and interface with PWB vendors as needed.
- Ensure all designs are manufacturable, reliable, and meet high voltage and current specifications.
- Generate comprehensive documentation packages and oversee the release process within the product lifecycle management system.
