Job Description

Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical or Automation engineer working with motion and motor control products preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting motor control circuits utilizing electromagnetic devices and variable frequency drives (VFD's) is essential. Specifically, a knowledge of PLC programming software is required.
  • A qualified candidate must be proficient in reading electrical schematics and vendor application drawings
  • Excellent understanding of electricity, motor control electrical circuits, and analog-digital input/output preferred.
  • Must have a working knowledge of a wide variety of software packages, operating systems and control equipment.
  • Proficiency with SAP, AutoCAD, E3 and Microsoft office.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with frontline sales, customers, production planning (Watertown), and project management.
  • Site visits for application and commissioning require the ability to work at heights up to 100 feet off the ground.
  • Travel estimated at 15% to meet with customers, commission equipment, and witness product testing at our manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities: 
  • Knowledge of Product Lines – Legacy, EOT and Portal Cranes
  • Engineering design, testing and commissioning of crane control systems.
  • Perform engineering tasks using established procedures. These include but are not limited to component selection, schematic design, system layout, automation control programming, and system documentation.
  • Generate system architecture and automation network drawings.
  • Project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget from inquiry through start-up.
  • Testing and troubleshooting of control systems.
  • Site visits for application and commissioning require the ability to work at heights up to 100 feet off the ground.
  • Travel estimated at 15% to meet with customers, commission equipment, and witness product testing at our manufacturing plant.
