Job Description
Qualifications:
- BS with 6-7+ years of experience or higher degrees in Electrical Engineering, Co-op experience preferred
- Altium, Orcad, Simulink, Hyperlinks, Powerlinks
- Experience working in FDA regulated environment is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work meticulously in a collaborative or independent environment

Responsibilities:
- Provide complete, accurate, meticulous documentation for each project.
- Design PCBs for embedded systems such as robotics, high-speed communications, and data acquisition boards
- Power budgeting, thermal management, and power supply design
- Mixed-signal circuit designs including groundplanes and controlled impedances
- Schematic entry
- Trouble shooting and failure analysis
- Design and build fixtures to demonstrate feasibility of design
- Oversee and guide board layout
- Manage board fabrication and assembly vendors
- Highly desirable experience with mixed-signal design
- Broad variety of embedded microcontrollers (e.g., PIC, ARM)
- FPGA experience (Verilog/VHDL, implementation, bring-up, debug)
- Familiarity with analog and mixed-signal design and debugging
- Interface design (UI, sensors, etc.)
- RF experience a big plus
