Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering , 10+ years experience in analog and digital circuit design
- Strong background in plasma technology and high voltage devices
- Experience with automated metrology, inspection, or diagnostic systems used in thin-film deposition for semiconductor, photovoltaic, disk drives, optical coating, display industries – specifically in the development of sensors for metrology
- Proficiency in Python, C, MATLAB for system modeling
- Expertise in high-voltage systems design and safety protocols
- Strong background in precision measurement and instrumentation
- Proficiency in PCB design and layout tools
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware development
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques
- Understanding of plasma physics principles (preferred)
- Experience with thermal measurement systems
- Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems
- Knowledge of safety standards (UL, CE, FCC)
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Design and implement high-voltage power supplies and control systems for plasma generation
- Develop precision measurement circuits for electrical and thermal sensing
- Create EMI/RFI shielding solutions and signal conditioning systems
- Design PCB layouts and embedded firmware for system control
- Integrate sensors and control systems for plasma-material interaction monitoring
- Develop and execute calibration procedures and system validation tests
- Create technical documentation including schematics, test procedures, and design specifications
- Collaborate with physicists and materials scientists on system optimization
- Support customer integration efforts and field testing
- Lead prototype development and testing iterations
- Interface with manufacturers and suppliers for component sourcing
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
