Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and development of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power electronics, control systems, and digital logic.
  • Proficiency in using electrical CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Experience with motor control systems (e.g., servo, stepper motors) and feedback mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with sensor integration and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., UL, CE) and EMI/EMC requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting using various test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.  
  • Experience in the additive manufacturing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for complex electromechanical systems, including power distribution, motor control, sensor integration, and safety circuits.
  • Select and integrate electrical components, such as power supplies, motors, encoders, sensors, and PLCs, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Design and implement control systems and algorithms for motion control, thermal management, and process monitoring.
  • Develop and execute test plans for electrical systems and subassemblies, including functional testing, performance characterization, and EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during system integration, testing, and in the field.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of all system components.
  • Document electrical designs, test procedures, and results clearly and concisely.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and related technologies.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
