Job Description
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Computer Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in either ME or EE, with a solid working knowledge of the other.
- Experience using Python for automating repetitive tasks, analyzing data, and working within larger testing frameworks.
- Lab Equipment Knowledge: Hands-on experience with thermal chambers, vibration tables, power supplies, DAQs, and electronic loads.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, networking, and common communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD).
- Familiarity with test/operation of brushless motors.
- Prior experience in a professional lab setting or significant hands-on experience with complex hardware projects.
Responsibilities:
- Execute Hardware Tests: Run established procedures on PCBs, embedded systems, and prototypes following detailed technical instructions.
- Debug & Troubleshoot: Perform initial failure analysis to identify root causes of hardware or software anomalies using tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Build Test Rigs: Design and assemble mechanical test setups using hand tools, aluminum extrusions, and creative "scrappy" techniques.
- Manage Data & Labs: Monitor tests at internal and external labs to ensure correct data capture and maintain the operational readiness of all equipment.
- Document & Report: Log meticulous defect notes in tracking systems and prepare concise reports summarizing test progress and key findings.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Design, Firmware, and Mechanical teams to communicate results and verify fixes for identified issues
