Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Related work experience in an Electrical Engineering/PLC environment, preferably 0-2 years of exposure to heat processing equipment or related equipment design
- Experience in PLC programming is highly desired
- Familiarity with systems integration aspects including PLC, HMI, instrumentation, networking, communication, and power distribution
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical
- Knowledge of gas trains and associated codes
- Understanding of compliance requirements like NFPA, NEC, UL, CE, and OSHA
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations involving units, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to accurately record and log information
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Capability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment with strong decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in general office software like Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems
- Aptitude to comprehend and carry out instructions provided verbally, in writing, or diagrammatically
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement control systems utilizing PLCs, relays, contactors, devices (RTDs, transmitters, switches, etc.), electrical schematics, and BOMs
- Write sequence of operations documentation
- Adhere to established engineering standards, policies, and procedures
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical, other design software, and equipment for engineering tasks
- Possess general understanding of sales contracts to define critical project criteria and ensure completion within budget
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism in structuring activities, creativity, teamwork, client handling, addressing changing needs, decision-making, and problem-solving
- Directly communicate with clients or project managers for approvals, required information, and progress reports
- Monitor compliance with client criteria as well as all relevant National, NFPA, and UL codes
- Maintain accurate and neat records and documentation
