Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or 5+ years of experience working with moderately complex electro-mechanical equipment preferably in the automotive, electric vehicle or comparable industry
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, DMM)
  • Experience with assembling and troubleshooting mechanical systems, including motors, transmissions, brakes, and suspension components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., email, data entry).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with electric vehicles or battery systems.
  • Familiarity with CAN bus systems and diagnostics.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems.
  • Welding or fabrication skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and integrate electrical and mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform functional testing and quality checks on completed vehicles and sub-assemblies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues in prototypes, pre-production units, and production vehicles.
  • Repair and maintain existing vehicles, including diagnosing and resolving customer-reported issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers on design improvements and provide feedback on manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of testing procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing, repairs, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
