Job Description
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or 5+ years of experience working with moderately complex electro-mechanical equipment preferably in the automotive, electric vehicle or comparable industry
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams
- Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, DMM)
- Experience with assembling and troubleshooting mechanical systems, including motors, transmissions, brakes, and suspension components.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., email, data entry).
- Experience working with electric vehicles or battery systems.
- Familiarity with CAN bus systems and diagnostics.
- Experience with data acquisition systems.
- Welding or fabrication skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Assemble and integrate electrical and mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform functional testing and quality checks on completed vehicles and sub-assemblies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues in prototypes, pre-production units, and production vehicles.
- Repair and maintain existing vehicles, including diagnosing and resolving customer-reported issues.
- Collaborate with engineers on design improvements and provide feedback on manufacturability and serviceability.
- Assist in the development and implementation of testing procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of testing, repairs, and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of production equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
