Job Description
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science is an advantage
- 2+ years of industry experience as a electronics, repair, or field service technician.
- Must have experience diagnosing and troubleshooting high power, electromechanical equipment (120-480VAC)
- Ability to troubleshoot at board, component, and systems level. Strong conceptual knowledge of transistors, capacitors, and Ohm's Law, etc.
- Must have proficiency with test equipment and hand tools including o-scopes and multimeters. Training can be provided for function generators, soldering irons, etc.
- Ability to read schematics and CAD files is an advantage - especially prior experience redlining diagrams and drawings
- Familiar with NFPA 70E electrical safety and safe work practices
- Support the R&D team by troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating power supply equipment
- Read schematics, diagrams, bill of materials, and assembly instructions to guide diagnostics for equipment failures. Troubleshooting from component to systems level.
- Recommend improvements to equipment design based on equipment issues or repair challenges.
