Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer or Electrical Engineering required, Masters preferred
- 3+ years of related experience in Embedded Systems
- Design and development in C for embedded microcontrollers (Atmel AVR a plus)
- Hands-on experience developing hardware design solutions
- Develop and implement system level test requirements
- Digital electronics design experience using CAD/CAE tools such as MATLAB, OrCAD, Protel, SPICE (plus)
- Create new product and features ideas, identify new technologies, prototype new concepts and communicate ideas with marketing for potential new product development efforts.
- Develop and implement design strategy to meet all regulatory and certification requirements.
- Assemble experimental circuitry utilizing through-hole or surface mount (breadboard) components or complete prototype model.
- Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests in order to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.
- Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry. Modify components and record their effects on unit performance.
- Write technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
