Job Description
Qualifications :
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years Engineering Management experience within the Aerospace industry (medical device might be considered), along with another 8+ years of product design/development
- Must have proven experience of managing multiple commercial and/or military projects simultaneously
- SolidWorks (SolidWorks PDM would be a plus)
- Organizes and leads a team of 4-5 mechanical, electrical and project engineers in the design & development of new products
- Manage multiple commercial and military programs concurrently, ensuring that the goals, objectives, and deliverables of each program are accomplished
- Act as a leader and mentor for the engineering team to ensure the development and culture is constantly improving
- Regularly communicate with internal and customer engineering teams, and provide project updates to upper management
- Responsible for understanding specific customer requirements, providing technical analysis, and resolve issues that may arise during the product development lifecycle
