Job Description
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- 6+Â years of experience in facilities engineering or a similar role.
- Experience building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Must be hands-on, ability to support repairs, maintenance projects (mechanical, electrical, plumbing…etc.)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Building Systems Maintenance:Â Perform as well as oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, lighting, and fire protection.
- Preventive Maintenance:Â Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of all facility equipment.
- Project Management:Â Perform and Manage facility-related projects, including renovations, equipment upgrades, and office reconfigurations, from conception to completion. This includes budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing contractors.
- Safety and Compliance:Â Ensure all facilities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and building codes. Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.
- Vendor and Contractor Management:Â Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage the work of external vendors and contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
