Field Service Technician
Job Description
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Equivalent in work experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of related Field Service experience.
- Familiarity with PC Operating systems (Win10) and basic networking.
- Prior experience with Allen Bradley PLC (Logix5000, SLC, Control and Compact Logix), XML edits, SQL Database file access/scripts, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of factory automation equipment such as motors, VFDs, and analog circuits.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently, climb stairs, and operate in dusty environments.
Responsibilities
- Project manage, coordinate, and plan onsite work efforts with plant personnel, electricians, IT staff, and other stakeholders for customer projects.
- Provide remote and onsite support for installed systems requiring technical service assistance.
- Assist in testing and training customers on custom end-user software.
- Initiate routine communication with customers to assess satisfaction and log follow-up actions.
- Perform software ladder edits, transfer files, and install updates using remote access tools.
