Job Description
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or apprenticeship in electrical technology preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an industrial electrician in continuous manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in working with 480V 3-phase electrical distribution, motor controls, and heavy-duty drives.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes such as NEC and NFPA 70E safety standards.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing control panels, sensors, PLC systems, and high-voltage systems.
- Familiarity with building and wiring UL 508A control panels and terminal configurations.
- Certifications such as Journeyman Electrician required; NFPA 70E certification preferred.
- Skill in reading complex schematics, using diagnostic tools, and performing preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on high-precision manufacturing systems, including extrusion and cabling machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues involving motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and sensors.
- Install, wire, and calibrate equipment ensuring compliance with safety and electrical standards.
- Support automation and safety systems by testing, troubleshooting, and replacing control and safety components.
- Assist engineering teams in system upgrades and monitoring energy consumption through digital metering devices.
