Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in with assembly, machining, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of (NPI) & defining manufacturing processes, tooling, and cost structures & layout/workflow optimization
  • Proficient with ERP data to support planning, costing, and production operations
  • Experience with SolidWorks, preferred
  • Exposure conducting time studies, creating BOM’s & Routers
  • Experience creating work instructions & creating processes
  • Comfortable training production staff related to manufacturing, assembly activities and documentation activities
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing methods, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct time studies and process analysis to establish standard labor times and improve workflows.
  • Support cost estimation and cost analysis for new and existing products, including labor, materials, and process costs.
  • Maintain and update manufacturing data within the ERP system including Bills of Materials (BOM), routing, labor standards, and work centers.
  • Ensure accuracy of ERP data to support planning, costing, and production operations.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by defining manufacturing processes, tooling, and cost structures.
  • Support manufacturing issues with root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Assist in production layout planning and workflow optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and waste reduction.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with training production staff in updated processes and work instructions.
  • Drive manufacturing transfer and new product introduction (NPI) projects in coordination with global stakeholders (Japan, China, France, UK).
