Job Description
Qualifications:
- BSME or equivalent (10+ years experience may substitute).
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
- 7+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, 3+ years leading high-performance teams, driving CI/Lean initiatives, and process capability studies.
- Proficient with ERP/MRP, PLM/PDM, assembly/shop floor, DFM/A, and engineering drawing approval.
- Experience with precision machining, laser welding, SWX/Inventor, and supplier collaboration is a plus.
- Experience with D&T (ASME Y14.5), inspection methods, manufacturing methods/processes, SPC, hand/power tools, machine elements, metallurgy, CAD, project management, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct Manufacturing Engineering and Machine Shop teams.
- Develop resource plans and manage employee performance.
- Partner with Operations & Quality to improve process capability and quality.
- Implement and improve Manufacturing Engineering/Machine Shop KPIs.
- Perform DFM/A reviews.
- Design/source, validate, and qualify new manufacturing equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings (ASME Y14.5).
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Provide troubleshooting support for Engineering and Operations.
- Establish routings, BoMs, processes, layouts, tools, costs, and labor standards.
- Develop supporting documentation (PFMEAs, work instructions, etc.).
- Review and assess ECOs, EOs, and deviations.
