Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a closely related engineering discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing or hydraulics/fluid power.
  • Proficient in CNC programming, with proven experience in creating, modifying, and optimizing programs for complex machining operations.
  • Experience with new product launch activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and supporting LEAN manufacturing initiatives.
  • Successful track record with automation projects.
  • Knowledge of PLC and PivotWare programming is a plus.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is a Preferred.
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, evaluate, implement, and improve manufacturing methods through process enhancements, capital budget improvements, and equipment modifications.
  • Analyze and plan workforce standards, space requirements, and workflow for optimized production.
  • Design layouts of equipment and workspace to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee tool and gauge design for the Machining Business Unit (MBU).
  • Provide technical process support through written manufacturing instructions and documentation control.
  • Collaborate with the DIP Team on tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Serve as a technical expert for purchasing, assisting with equipment, materials, or parts selection, and evaluating products for quality standards.
  • Estimate production times, staffing needs, and related costs for management decision-making.
  • Partner with management, engineering, and other teams to enhance manufacturing capabilities and production processes.
  • Apply statistical methods to evaluate future manufacturing needs and capacity.
  • Contribute to the development and management of operational budgets within the engineering group.
  • Act as a change agent, fostering a collaborative, creative, and respectful workplace culture.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers to support their professional growth.
  • Evaluate team members' performance, offering feedback, recognizing exceptional performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure manufacturing goals are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
