Job Description
Technical:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or similar field
- Master's Degree or PhD preferred
- 4+ years of industry experience as manufacturing lead in the semiconductor, optics, or semiconductor equipment industry
- Applied knowledge of thin-film polycrystalline materials, solid state devices
- Must have experience leading continuous improvement for product line
- Ideal candidate will have experience leading the scale up of new systems in a high volume manufacturing facility
- Capable of conducting Root Cause Analysis, statistical, and data analysis
- Ability to assess processes for areas of improvement, safety, lowering cost, increase yield
- Ability to characterize materials and devices
- Lead the integration of new optics technology and sustain existing manufacturing lines
- Lead test efforts while ensuring projects are completed on-time and on-target
- Develop and lead continuous improvement activities for new manufacturing equipment
- Supervise cross-functional team ranging from operators to scientists to process engineers
- Implement findings from RCAs toward device changes and material improvements
- Wear PPE as required in industrial environment (safety glasses, respirator, clean room gown, etc.)
