Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Aerospace Engineering Bachelor's Degree or related technical degree
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Analysis tools: Femap/Nastran, Hyperworks, or others
- Familiarity with 5+ years of experience in analysis and modification of aircraft structures and integration of payloads
- Expertise in the design of robotic and aircraft systems, including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
- Knowledge of composites, metals, and mechanisms
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Software, and Aerospace Engineering
- Experience in a prototype, build, and delivery environment
- Excellent communication with the ability to work well with internal and external customers
- Ability to work in a fast paced proto-type, rapid development environment
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Design of long endurance high altitude unmanned systems & aircrafts, Multi-rotor drones, Single-rotor drones, Fixed-wing drones
- Develop structural layouts for concept vehicles
- Integrate payloads into vehicle designs, modify payloads & structures for systems such as Lidar for Mapping, surveying, autonomous navigation
- Perform structural modifications as necessary
- Analysis and Testing
- Analyze and test structural designs for feasibility and safety
- Test payloads for compatibility and performance
- Mechanical Systems: Size parts for mechanical systems to ensure functionality and reliability
