Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Must be a strong Creo/ProE user
- Document Control experience using Windchill is an advantage
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in design of electromechanical equipment. Design of sheet metal, precision machined components is an advantage.
- Experience creating test fixture assemblies, wire harnesses, cable drawings
- Experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, chillers are an advantage; regulatory knowledge is helpful
- Experience creating technical documentation including P&IDs, facilities schematics. BOMs, assembly instructions for complex tools or equipment
- Ideal candidate has integrated systems, specified mechanical components, release drawings to manufacturing
- Experience developing custom solutions for process automation
- Collaborate with scientists to improve existing systems and create new equipment for new research applications
- Lead the design, development, fabrication, and assembly of new electromechanical equipment and facilities
- Release drawings for assemblies to manufacturing for both on-site fabrication and external manufacturing partners
- Apply knowledge of common fabrication techniques to quote on costs and advise on component selection
- Assist in the test, qualification, and quality assurance activities for systems developed
- Create and manage technical documentation in Windchill
