Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have Minimum of 4 + years’ experience in product design, development and testing of products for Aerospace
- Prefer design & development of interior aircraft components & systems with materials like: sheet-metal, machined and plastic parts & assemblies.
- SolidWorks experience is required.
- Knowledge of product data management and FE analysis.
- Complete proficiency with Engineering Change Management
- Experience developing qualification & test reports
- Design & Development of components, assemblies, and subsystems for new product development per company and customer specifications.
- Perform detail design using SolidWorks to generate 3D CAD models, detail drawings & generate analysis reports per the company, customer specifications and applicable design standards.
- Prepare Qualification test plans, similarity reports, acceptance test procedures, qualification test reports & other engineering documentations to support the qualification & certification of products per the applicable FAA and RTCA DO160 guidelines.
- Develop and improve the design processes; create best practices & implementation across the projects.
- Review design, and manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable industry and company standards.
- Process ECO/ECN and implement design changes on assigned products, generating drawings and documents and release them in EPDM system.
- Devise and implement proof of concept prototype test plans, conduct tests; data collection and test report generation to support the designs.
