Job Description
Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
-
5+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial equipment, energy, or high-volume manufacturing
-
Proficiency with SolidWorks, ePDM, and FEA (ANSYS preferred)
-
Strong knowledge of DFM for castings and sheet metal stampings
-
Expertise with GD&T standards and tolerance analysis

Hands-on experience with prototyping, validation, and transition to mass production
Responsibilities

Design and develop precision mechanical components and assemblies for high-volume production
-
Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T application, and structural validation to ensure manufacturability and reliability

Conduct FEA and failure analysis to improve durability and performance
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction and design optimization opportunities

Support prototype builds, validation testing, and field troubleshooting activities

Provide technical mentorship in CAD practices, modeling standards, and supplier requirements
