Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of practical experience
- Experience in Additive Manufacturing, Semiconductor, Solar, Automation equipment industry
- SolidWorks, Agile, SolidWorks Simulation (FEA)
- Systems level design experience with complex electro-mechanical capital equipment (automated manufacturing, robotics, CNC machine tool)
- Strong experience in design of motion control for micron level precision
- Experience designing and integrating motors (servo, stepper), pneumatic pumps into overall system design
- Experience risk analysis FMEA
- Experience in tolerance stack up analysis, GD&T
- Start-up mentality, ability to work in and contribute to a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work autonomously, solve problems with very little supervision
Responsibilities:
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and design complex electro-mechanical systems
- Perform FMEA and tolerance analysis at the system and sub-system level to validate design
- Support activities in prototyping, fabrication, test, feasibility studies
- Support design improvements for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability
- Responsible for documentation, change control, BOM’s, procedures…etc.
- Support customer installation and bring up as needed
