Job Description
Qualifications:
- BSME - 10+ years in Semiconductor equipment, material handling, automation and robotics (solar and disk drives)
- SolidWorks, EPDM, Documentation, GD&T, Tolerance Stack-Up
- Strong hands-on experience designing, assembling, and testing automation equipment
- Experience in machine design for high precision industries
- Expertise in mechatronics/automation design (motor sizing, actuator design, sensor selection, etc.)
- Industrial automation and control systems (VFD and servo drives, multi-axis robots, PLCs) a plus
- Experience with optics, lasers, x-rays, lenses a plus
- Design, build, and test high-precision electro-mechanical R&D equipment
- Work with fabricators, using DFM principles to achieve economical designs
- Work with external vendors to integrate off-the-shelf hardware with custom-designed components
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and production issues to improve performance
- Work in a small team, and contribute to the implementation of next generation high-tech materials manufacturing equipment
