Job Description
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- BSME/MSME – experience in automotive industry preferred, consumer products acceptable
- Familiarity with automotive safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated experience in product design from concept to production
- CAD – SolidWorks, CATIA, FEA, CFD experience desirable
- Strong understanding of materials and fabrication processes
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment
- Some travel required – 5 days on-site
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative automotive design concepts, from initial concept through to production, using a strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure that designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards while aligning with project timelines and budget constraints
- Leverage computational analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to validate and optimize designs, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements
- Manage and maintain design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for the project team
- Lead design reviews, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement to ensure a high level of product quality and functionality
