Job Description
Qualifications
- Required degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in new product development, product design, or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software
- Knowledgeable in materials, manufacturing processes, wiring diagrams, and mechanical design
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, sheet metal design, and product assembly
- Experience with UL certification processes (preferred)
- Familiarity with sourcing components and vendor coordination (preferred)
- Lead the design and development of new light fixtures using a phase-gate process and 2D/3D CAD tools.
- Translate product specifications into practical, manufacturable designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure project milestones are met.
- Prepare and verify bills of material and other documentation for product releases.
- Coordinate product testing, validation, and design verification to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.
