Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years in optical system design and development, ideally in semiconductor, laser, or laser processing industries.
- Proven experience leading and managing optical engineering teams.
- Extensive experience with laser systems, optical design software (Zemax, Code V), and optical metrology.
- Experience with high-power laser systems, laser materials processing, and machine vision systems is preferred.
- Deep understanding of optics, laser physics, and optical instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of optical alignment and calibration techniques.
- Strong knowledge of optical component selection.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for designing, developing, and optimizing complex optical systems for laser-based semiconductor equipment.
- Lead the development of optical specifications, tolerance analyses, and performance models.
- Ensure integration of optical systems with mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Drive the development of new optical technologies and solutions.
- Provide expertise in laser systems (sources, beam delivery, laser-material interaction).
- Oversee design and implementation of laser control and monitoring systems.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of optical engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Assign projects, set priorities, monitor progress, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
