Job Description

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to actively participate in team-based processes, influence engagement, and drive decision-making toward effective solutions.
  • Working knowledge of applicable state and federal EHS regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with current safety, risk management, and loss control practices in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies, safe work practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a role model for safe behavior and professionalism across the plant.
  • Support and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Advise plant leadership and employees on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, including reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
  • Track, analyze, and present EHS performance metrics and trends.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, response planning, drills, and related training.
  • Coordinate and deliver EHS training, including new hire safety orientations.
  • Conduct internal EHS audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
  • Support site and company-wide EHS initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Participate in safety committees and promote employee engagement in safety programs.
