Panel Wirer
Job Description
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Experience in electrical panel wiring or similar field (1–3 years preferred)
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Familiarity with hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and multimeters
- Custom Panel experience
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Build panels per provided schematics and layout drawings
- Ensure all wiring meets company and industry standards
- Test completed panels for functionality and accuracy
- Document any deviations or required changes
- Prepare panels for shipment or installation
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Assemble and wire control panels, including routing and terminating wires
- Install electrical components such as relays, PLCs, terminal blocks, breakers, and power supplies
- Label wires and components accurately according to design specifications
- Perform point-to-point wiring checks and continuity testing
- Troubleshoot wiring issues and correct errors as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
