Job Description

Qualifications:
  • BSME, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, 5+ years’ experience in a technical, industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience managing hardware prototype builds, including a strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex BOMs (500+ parts preferred) and track material readiness.
  • Experience with inventory management, supply chain logistics, and production planning.
  • Must have excellent communication skills - clear, crisp, precise.  Must be highly organized and meticulous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prototype Build Management: Lead and manage all aspects of prototype development builds, from initial planning through successful completion.
  • Material Readiness: Oversee material inventory and ensure "Clear to Build" status for all prototypes. This includes:
  • Tracking and expediting material landings and deliveries.
  • Coordinating with receiving teams to ensure accurate and timely intake of components.
  • Working with engineering and operations to facilitate kitting and staging of materials for builds.
  • Build Execution: Facilitate and execute prototype builds, ranging from smaller, modular components to complex whole products with Bill of Materials (BOMs) potentially exceeding 500 parts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure alignment and resolve any issues impacting build schedules.
  • Schedule & Risk Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and achievements to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
